thought i'd left a comment earlier about the wonderful work you're doing. i can't seem to find it. but hell the state i'm in right now, suffering another cold, i wouldn't be able to find my head if it didn't feel like an overstuffed balloon.

I wrote it rather impulsively - not meaning you - my idea was to talk to myself (but then perhaps I am all men and women!!..all beings?) - following on from something I said in a comment to "tertius" that I kind of "meditate" for some time before I write each entry - although some are impulsive - so while there is an overall structure (not too formulaic though) as in life I have "impulses" and so on...

Richard - you were going to send me your book - did you get my address?

I have a minor cold - I have been sorting out a lot of stuff here going through old chess games (back to about 1960!) and mags, old books, on all kinds of subjects, old diaries , cat's hair from my sadly now deceased cat (was my daughter's) ..my plan to make more room for my own large poetry , lit crit, art, history and science collections and also NZ and a political collection which morphs into philosophy as does art...but I am finding old letters, things done by my children, dust, things I did as a lineman and a tech, more dust, courses in maths, Accounting. electronics, English, philosophy even Law (I started in Law School in 1992 but there were some extra strains at home so I didn't pursue that) that I did, more dust, and so on: even a calendar thatamrks things I( did in 1971 ! including the day (marked by my ex) I proposed to my ex wife... ..laugh...sad...but I am happy overall these days...have lost weight (I was very overweight I am near my proper weight/BMI now) and am fit for my age of 60...

I am surprised and pleased that you and some others like my Blog I had no idea what I was doing (when I started) as such except that EYELIGHT was conceived more or less way before I got a computer - as project - previously all my poetry had been written in a few minutes...kind of as if the whole thing came to me in a flash and I just wrote it down - hence a lot was quite bad - and some worked...EYELIGHT reworks old 'works' and adds new ones and adds images of course...

I would like all kinds of people to be involved in my "Project" - ultimately - not intellectuals only - so called "ordinary people" as I feel everyone has something of value to add.

And I am potentially interested in everything e.g. art, philosophy, hobbies, pornography! (hence women -beautiful!), but I am concerned for people of all kinds and ages, literature, music - I read anything - children's books, old annuals, just reading the 1973 Colliers Encyc year Book and so on! (particularly about Fischer the chess player... - all kinds of things....lol

I dare not go onto some Blogs such as Silliman's (too often) there is so much on the Net!! Its massive! If I start at say 10 pm it's soon 3 am! - wiping out the next day more or less....

There's is so much I don't know - I am reading Flaubert's "Temptation of St Anthony" and so on...

I hope people reading EYELIGHT don't get the misapprehension I am vastly knowledgeable - I struggle with a lot of ideas and am fairly much a "swat" - I have a fairly slow brain (esp for Philosophy etc) but I am interested in so many things....I have lived quite a long time I have picked up a lot of debris that floats in my skull!!
