An example of cleverness or "artifice" from a previous Blog Post:

o000000000000OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO000000000000o

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

Reading after the first line of oos there is E (repeated)

This derives from the book "Disobedience" by Alice Notley as does the line of oos,wws and lls

that is it spells "Owl" which bird is very important to Notley in that and previous books and this

I found about in an interview with her.

Hi Richard - great work. I feel it is something I can come back to time and time again with new insight and a new appreciation for what you are doing. It reminds me of Charles Olson's Maximus poems (http://charlesolson.ca/files/Max1appendices/AppendixB.html) and to some degree Pound's 'Cantos'. Look forward to reading the next installment.

Regards

Will

Thanks!

The Maximus poems are similarly chaotic and almost incomprehensible; but Olson was an innovative writer. He and Zukoksfy were influenced of course by Pound...and we must also recall H.D. of 'Helen in Egypt' here and so on... [One "feels" one knows what he is on about...] I recall Robert Creeley reading his friend's Maiximus poems here in Auckland and he had to turn the page where the type was "on angles" - the innovations that began with say Mallarme or later Apollinnaire, and some of the Russian Constructivists or Formalists then the Futurists, Dadaists etc and the US Language poets later and before them the Black Mountain [Olson of course there] poets and some of the "concrete" poets and so on - Fluxus and much else.

But I don't really have such a 'worked out' programme here, and wait until I feel "right" before I put something on here - something has to "grab me" so to speak... but I dont want people to thnk that this is too stuffy or "brainy" I find most poetry / philosophy very complex and hard but here there are also all kinds of things [many subjects - profound or mundane or in between!] that tend to come together as they do in life and indeed on the internet!

William - thanks for your interest.
