 Images from Panmure Basin etc

These are some of my hundreds of photographs of local things. In this case mainly of the Panmure Basin - which was created by a volcanic explosion about 9000 years ago.

There are also images of my son and I on our walks from about 2010 to 2012. In this case also there are many birds and native as well as exotic trees. And some beautiful gardens and trees. Also some of the power pylons (one line [possibly the Ota-Pak line] which has been taken down [I have pictures of work as ety did this] and is now being put under the road.) This dismantling of that interested me as I worked as a tech in about1986 to 1988 in the NZED, setting up and  maintaining various communications systems associated with the power network
In particular we helped to set up an analogue microwave network which communicates throughout Auckland with the Otahuhu-Otara Power Station. Since then many more microwave (digital) links a have been added).

Of interest are the Van Dam springs which push out freshwater (where the ducks are) and there is  a small bridge can be seen. Also at the other end Shags can be seen near  or at the "Jubilee Bridge" which is laminated timber. I also have an (indirect) family connection to the building of that bridge which also connects to chess!  But more of that anon!

I AM GOING TO EDIT THIS POST AND ALSO UP DATE ON WHAT  I AM TO BE DOING WITH EYELIGHT (AND MY BLOG) AND OTHER PROJECTS I HAVE PLANED OR AM WORKING ON.

ONE IS NOVEL THAT I AM RIGHT NOW IN THE PROCESS OF DEVISING OR DEVELOPING A STRUCTURE AND OUTLINING CHARACTERS ETC

FOR NOW I WANTED TO SEE HOW MANY OF MY PHOTOGRAPHS WOULD GO UP AND HOW QUICKLY.

SO I WILL BE BACK IT THAT AND MORE INFO ON THESE IMAGES

IF YOU CLICK ON THE IMAGES THEY WILL BE SEEN MUCH LARGER.

I'm back. I'll let the "spiel" above stand and add my "explanatory" stuff here soon.
